Kings Cross Pride Street Party
King’s Cross’ first ever Pride Street Party saw newly opened Coal Drops Yard filled with walkabout art installations from Jack Irving, interactive vogue workshops and performances from NIMMO, Savage Disco and Hot Chip.
Shoppers flocked from afar to attend this free event created by POLARI and Wonderosity, which gathered together London’s LGBTQ+ creative community for a perfect afternoon of pre-pride preparations.
Attendees were invited to sharpen up their vogueing skills with vogue icon Jay Jay Revlon, sip one of the bespoke created craft beers from House of Cans and queer illustrator Sylvia K Doodles, and hit the shops.
The street party was free and open to all and saw a 300% increase in shoppers, mass engagement across socials and a wealth of press attention.
