Waste To Wonder: A Live Art Project

As part of their Spotlight on Sustainability campaign, The Office Group partnered with Wonderosity to deliver a unique, purpose-driven live event that celebrated creativity, raised awareness for environmental issues, and actively engaged employees in a meaningful way.

Wonderosity conceptualised and produced Waste to Wonder — a bespoke live art installation created entirely from recycled waste materials collected by TOG employees. The activation aimed to showcase how discarded items could be reimagined into something extraordinary, inspiring employees to rethink their relationship with waste and their power to effect change.

Working with acclaimed sustainable artist Jake Kuit, Wonderosity transformed the TOG head office into a live studio. Over the course of a working day, employees were invited to stop by and witness the creation of two powerful, layered artworks: one depicting an endangered white rhino, the other a white rhino calf — both symbolic of species at risk due to human impact on the planet.

From creative direction and artist commissioning to waste collection logistics, production management, and event marketing, Wonderosity managed every aspect of the activation. Following the live creation, the finished artworks were displayed prominently in TOG’s lobby before being auctioned off, with proceeds donated to a selected sustainability-focused charity.

Key event elements included:

Employee-driven material sourcing, collecting clean waste from TOG’s offices in the lead-up to the event

A live art performance staged in a central communal space to maximise visibility and encourage employee engagement

Interactive sustainability storytelling, with information about the rhinos, the materials used, and the cause displayed alongside the artwork

Post-event installation and charity auction to extend the impact of the activation
The event was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback, praised for its creativity, relevance, and emotional impact. Employees expressed a renewed sense of environmental awareness and pride in contributing to a creative sustainability initiative within their workplace.

Waste to Wonder successfully blended live art, environmental education, and corporate social responsibility into a single, unforgettable moment — proving that sustainability doesn’t have to be silent, and that even everyday waste can become a work of art.

Following its success, Wonderosity plans to roll out the Waste to Wonder concept across multiple corporate offices and co-working hubs, continuing to turn trash into transformation and awareness into action.
